Location

Located on the south western coast, Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort has been created on the site of one of Mauritius’ best kept and most jealously guarded secrets, the former sugar estate of Bel Ombre. Set on 15 hectares, the Resort nestles breathtakingly between the dreamy turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and the lush Plaine Champagne hills.
The Resort has a residential charm all of its own, capturing the colonial spirit of Mauritius with its plantation architecture, expansive manicured tropical gardens as well as the gentle waters of the Citronniers River. Unequalled in Mauritius, nature is at the heart of our resort from the pristine reef-enclosed lagoon and beach, the adjacent nature reserve of Valriche extending over 1,500 hectares, as well as a 18 hole championship golf course and a 9 hole short course.
   

Wining & Dining

Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort offers a wide variety of dining experiences allowing guests to discover new flavours and cuisines in five different restaurants. Guest chefs from around the globe compliment the food concept of the Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort that offers an interactive show kitchen where guests and the kitchen brigade enjoy a convivial atmosphere. Executive chef Enrico Rodati’s intention is to fins a balance between traditional and modern cuisine. Thus, he pampers his guests with menus traditional for the island and sets a contemporary course of international meals.
  • Annabella’s is our main HB restaurant with 120 seats offering a variety of International cuisine including weekly theme specials.
  • Senso is our newly created Italian Restaurant with 40 seats beautifully situated at Rivière Citronniers where Chef Rodati will celebrate his home made Italian cuisine. Focus on pasta and anti pasta.
  • Gin’ja Restaurant, which is our asian speciality restaurant, is situated in the beach and under the guidance of Chef Hiro San offering a variety of Asian dishes including Sushi & Sashimi for dinner and light lunches (grilled fish, etc).
  • Directly situated at sea level at the pool, Le Palmier has a daily snack menu offering salads, pizzas & light meals from 12h00 to 17h00 and seats 60. Palmier also includes a nice bar open as from 10h00.
  • Le Chateau Restaurant has a beautiful setting and has been the residence of Charles Telfair. Beautifully set in lush gardens with excellent dining outside on the porches and gardens. Chef Carl creates his inspirations from the Creole cuisine and the restaurant has a seating capacity of 100.
  • The Restaurant du Golf caters specially to the Golf client with typical club restaurant and snacks and seats 60.
  • The Cavendish Bar is nicely situated at the heart of the property, with different porches and a cigar lounge.


Rooms & Suites

Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort offers a variety of luxury accommodation in a discrete village design of 20 villas of 6 or 8 rooms. 158 rooms and suites have beautiful sea views or river views through ceiling to floor French windows, private balconies or verandas.
Our guest rooms have a soothing plantation interior design with dark timber floors, period inspired furniture and a high level of attention to design detail. Bedroom and bathroom linen offer the added luxury of fine Egyptian cotton with oversized pillows and bath towels. In categories above the Junior Suite, a 24 hours butler service is included.

Golf

Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort’s 18-hole championship golf course was designed by Matkovich & Hayes one of the leading golf course designers in South Africa. The course has some unique and challenging features including two rivers that run through it, as well as the Château de Bel Ombre. A 9 hole par 3 course ranging in distance from 60 meters to 165 metres is available for all level of golfers. Le Telfair is pleased to extend complimentary green fees at Golf du Château all through the stay.

Six Senses Spa

Designed as a sanctuary, the Six Senses Spa at Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort is a haven of peace where fountains and streams flow in the midst of tropical gardens. Both ancient and modern techniques are practiced by our therapists, delivering complete well-being to body and mind. Offering an unrivalled range of treatments, the spa has 9 private treatments rooms and suites as well as a hairdressing salon. 2 outdoor gazebos, a water hideaway, are surrounded by ponds with a private pool and relaxation area. The honeymoon suite, a retreat of intimacy, offers a wide range of treatments with exceptional comfort, private pool and a relaxation area. Saunas and hammams are available by appointment in both ladies and gentlemen areas.

Sport & Leisure

The Resort offers guests a plethora of complimentary and paid sporting activities, both on land and sea. Besides snorkeling excursions, water skiing and kayaking, guests can discover the treasures of the sea at a glass bottom boat cruise. The diving school on site offers courses for beginners and provides and prepares all necessary equipment for advanced divers. Guests can use the three floodlit tennis courts day out and day in. Furthermore, the Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort offers Mountain bikes for excursions along the beach or to discover the nature reserve Variche.

Kids Club

Designed to offer a memorable experience for our younger guests, our Kids Club is open from 10am to 10pm daily welcoming children from the age of 2 to 11.
